Bixby Spartans football lifestyle hero for 3-0 district opener at Mustang

Bixby Spartans Game Week: 3-0 District Opener at Mustang

By BixbyMerch.com · September 20, 2026

Game week is here, and Bixby has every reason to feel good about it. The Spartans sit 3-0 after wins over Owasso, Stillwater, and Jenks, and Friday night brings the next challenge: a road trip to Mustang for a 7:00 PM district opener on September 25, 2026.

That early record did not come easy. Bixby opened with a 35-27 road win at Owasso, followed by a 56-28 statement against Stillwater at home, then a defensive 13-6 rivalry win over Jenks. Put together, it is the kind of September stretch Spartan fans love: tough opponents, different styles of wins, and a town already locked into Friday nights.

Why Mustang matters

District play raises the stakes. Every Friday becomes part of the larger chase for another deep run in Class 6A-I. Mustang is a physical program that will test Bixby on the road, and that is exactly when Spartan football looks most like itself: disciplined, physical, and backed by a community that shows up whether the game is at Spartan Stadium or across the metro.

MaxPreps lists Bixby at 3-0 overall and 0-0 in district heading into the Mustang trip, with Westmoore waiting at home on October 2. One week at a time remains the motto, but the standard in Bixby is always higher than a regular-season snapshot.

How the town can help

Road games still need home energy. Wear green and black to school, pack the student section if you make the trip, and keep the positive noise loud for players, coaches, band, cheer, and families who make this program go. Pride is part of the culture here, and it travels.
