Blanket Weather Is on the Way in Bixby and the Tulsa Metro

Oklahoma never flips the fall switch all at once, but the Tulsa Metro is starting to lean that way. If you have been waiting for an excuse to grab a cozy Spartans blanket, this is it.

What the forecast actually says

According to the National Weather Service forecast for Bixby (issued Friday evening, September 25), this weekend stays warm, with highs near 87 on Saturday and 89 on Sunday and Monday, plus a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The shift comes midweek: highs drop to near 80 on Wednesday and 79 on Thursday, with overnight lows around 66 and 64. Not a cold snap, but the first real hint that sweater season is on the way. Keep an eye on those storm chances, too.

Friday nights under the lights

There is nothing like a Friday night football game in Bixby. Once the sun drops, the stands cool off fast, and a soft blanket across your lap makes the fourth quarter a lot more comfortable. The Bixby Spartans Football Velveteen Plush Customized Blanket is made for exactly that, and the Bixby Spartans Red Logo Velveteen Plush Blanket brings classic Spartan red to the bleachers.

Pumpkin patches and porch season

Fall around Tulsa means pumpkin patch trips, hayrides, and long evenings on the porch or patio once the heat finally breaks. Our autumn designs were made for those moments. The Autumn Pumpkin Paradise Velveteen Plush Blanket is soft and cheerful, and the Bixby Spartans Autumn Vibes Sherpa Comfy Blanket adds thick sherpa warmth for chilly mornings with coffee.

Velveteen plush or sherpa fleece?

Velveteen plush blankets are lightweight and silky smooth, great for tossing in the car for game night or draping over the couch. Sherpa fleece blankets are heavier and fuzzier on the back, the one you want when the temperature really dips. The Bixby Spartans Blue Logo Sherpa Fleece Blanket is a fan favorite if you want the Spartan logo front and center.
